PRESIDENT'S CORNER

Brothers and Sisters

What a benefit! Thank you. This past year has been a very gratifying one, serving as President of the "best Aerie" in the state. You all should be very proud. This past year has brought many changes and improvements to our Aerie home, thanks to numerous committees and some very generous donations. I'm very proud to have been a part of it. I'm not going to mention names, in fear of missing someone, so thanks to all who helped and donated. A lot of people worked very hard, let's all show our appreciation by respecting and maintaining what they've done.

I'd like to thank last year's officers and welcome this year's. I hope we can continue to improve our Home, please participate.

In closing I have one more thank you, and that is to our Junior Eagles, who through their car-wash and lemonade stand efforts, made a very substantial donation to the Cancer Benefit. Good job, kids!

Fraternally Yours,
Worthy President, Walt Weare

‘The Prez’ Sez:’ "I'm back for one more year and Damn Proud of it, President of the Best Aerie in the state! Thanks."

VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH

I received a letter signed by numerous members that started with the statement 'The pressure is on' - So by popular request, I congratulate Gail Coffel as our 'Volunteer' for this month. Thanks, Gail, for all you do ... (the pressure is off.)

MADAM PRESIDENT

Brothers and Sisters

I want to thank everyone that helped me, stood by me and those that just tolerated me this last year as Madam President.

I wish the new Madam President, Betty Zarnowiec, and her officers good luck in the coming year.

The Junior Eagles did a great job with their car-wash and lemonade stand for the Cancer Fund. Our hats off to them.

Congratulations, to the new Aerie Trustees, I'm sure they will do well.

The men did a wonderful job with the Mother's Day breakfast. Thanks Guys!

Verdi, thank you for everything, you have really been a lot of support to me this year.

Anna Miller gave us a donation to buy something for the kitchen.

I'm really going to miss Terry's phone calls "Where's your letter?"

CHAPLAIN'S CORNER

Dear Brothers and Sisters

Hope you are enjoying the summer. It seems that for a month everything was calm. Now it seems like a storm of sad news.

Chris Shultz's dad, Jerry, is in the hospital: Jim Cunningham's mom, Mary, is in the hospital: Walt and Nancy Weare's daughter, Susan, was involved in an accident and is in the hospital: Ron Hood's wife, Cindy, is in the hospital from a home accident: Sue Anderson is in the hospital: Terry Jedson was in an auto accident and suffered a broken hip: my mom, Reyna, is improving with her foot problem (two months now): Bob Whittenburg's dad, Gus, passed away: Cheryl Evans' mom, June, passed away, and Linda Silby's mom, Mabel, passed away. It is so difficult to cope with the passing of our Mothers so close to Mother's Day. Madam Chaplain Helma and I offer our prayers to all.

Come take a look at our beautiful, awesome Memorial Garden. I am so proud of everyone that helped make a dream come true. I truly believe we have the prettiest Memorial Garden of any Aerie.

I have served as your Chaplain for three years and starting my fourth. I will be looking for a future Chaplain for next year. He must be dedicated. With 500 members in our Aerie, I really believe we will find a caring soul. Thank you so much, Helma, for helping me. You were always there when I really needed you.

We had a memorial service for all the Brothers and Sisters that have passed on to Heaven's way on May 28th. Take care and God Bless you all.

Worthy Chaplain, Gilly Atencio

MADAM CHAPLAIN

Dear Brothers and Sisters

This will be my last letter as your Madam Chaplain. I want to thank everyone for their support, especially our Worthy Chaplain, Gilly. He is a great Chaplain. It would be hard for anyone to fill his shoes. Thanks, Gilly, for your help. It was great working with you. I want to congratulate Gena; she will make a great Chaplain.

I want to send my thoughts and prayers to Cindy Hood, Velma Simpson, and Pat Kime for a speedy recovery. And anyone else who is not feeling well. Let's all count our blessings each day for our good health.

My love and prayers to all.

Madam Chaplain, Helma Goff
